Bloodstock Breeder Services P/L (BBS) was established in 2002 to provide services to the smaller Thoroughbred owner/breeders of Victoria. As small breeders ourselves, we found there were very little offered to the small owner/breeder by way of alternative marketing options, information and skills training, industry support etc.

We held our first Auction at the National equestrian Centre in Werribee, Victoria in June 2002, and the first of a series of seminar/workshops in September, 2002. We achieved a 90% clearance rate of entries at the sale, which included mainly tried racehorses, broodmares, yearlings, stallion shares and nominations.

With 45 participants at our first Workshop, held at Brackley Park in Avenel, we were very encouraged by the support shown by the small owners/breeders of Victoria.

BBS are   providing a venue / forum for the small owner/breeder  where they can view possiblilities for upgrading mares, or stallion nominations, along with quality bloodstock, at an alternative viable sale, as there is only one  ASB Thoroughbred sale auction system remaining in Victoria.
